According to a report from ECNS, published on the 11th of January 2019, the increasing demand for AI is set to give China a “substantial boost” in the global semiconductor market, with revenues growing by 25% in 2019.

One Chinese chip foundry has reported that it will begin producing semiconductors specifically developed to support AI and machine learning, and will be supported by huge domestic demand for this technology.  Cambricon, another Chinese chip manufacturer, has also developed a line of chips specialising in supporting machine learning tasks.

This is very positive news for the Chinese semiconductor industry, which has grown significantly in recent times.  For more information, please visit ECNS.
